Formentera, Playa Migjorn.

In our eyes, this famous beach is better than anything the Caribbean has to offer!  One of its hidden gems is Casa Pacha, a little hotel owned by Pacha, that does excellent group meals, private parties and is renowned for its DJ sets.

Sunset from ‘Piratabus’ on Formentera – an old hippy bar that’s famous for watching the glorious sunsets – is an absolute ‘MUST’ for anyone visiting this beautiful island.

  1. Explore the dizzying heights of Yoga

There’s no better place to practice yoga than the open air. Why not practice the art of yoga on a clifftop with the sparkling Mediterranean Sea below you? To participate in this 90-minute class, you can get transport from San Antonio before being whisked off to a clifftop with stunning views of the rocky island of Es Vedra. Some classes include champagne breakfast and acoustic music!

  1. Visit Cala D’Hort

Pay a visit to Cala D’Hort, a mystical sandy beach overlooking Es Vedra. Legend has it that if you make a wish while looking out to Es Vedra, it comes true. Shrouded in myth, Es Vedra is an uninhabited limestone rock that stands almost 400 metres tall in the ocean off Carla D’Hort Bay. After making your wish, don’t forget to watch the sunset as it shadows Es Vedra on the way down.

  1. Explore the northeastern beaches

If you’re looking for an escape route away from the crowds, look no further than the northeastern beaches. If you head to the northeast of the island, Playa Cala Xarraca, Playa de La Cueva De Portinatx and Cala D’En Serra offer tranquil beaches with clear water away from the hustle and bustle of the popular tourist attractions.

  1. Join the chant!

A hippie ceremony takes place every Sunday on Berrinas Beach at sunset. The large sandy beach welcomes locals and tourists to watch, dance, and join the lively drumming ritual every week.

  1. Pay a trip to the Dalt Vila

Soak up the island’s rich history by visiting its historical centre, Dalt Vila, in all its whitewashed glory. Wander through the cobbled streets that make up Ibiza’s old town. Meander through the gates to reach Dalt Vila, with its whitewashed buildings and towering cacti. All overlooking the sparkling coastline below.

  1. Sample the local cuisine

Walk along to the Fish Shack, a remote seafood restaurant at the end of Talamanca Beach. For the freshest seafood in Ibiza, listen as the waiters communicate what they have caught that day – all served with a helping of potatoes, salad and lashings of olive oil.

  1. Take a ferry to Formentera

If you’re visiting Ibiza for more than a few days, it’s well worth taking a fast ferry to Formentera, just 20 minutes away from Ibiza. You can expect more of the same world-class beaches but with a more laid-back pace of life.  Ferries run regularly from Ibiza Town to LA Savina, Formentera’s tiny port, where you can hire a bicycle to explore the island. There are plenty of swimming stops to take advantage of the beautiful sandy beaches along the way.

  1. Join the craziest party on the planet

Elrow at Amnesia is the club night to top all club nights. Attracting some of the best world-class DJs around, the club boasts glitter, a trapeze, costumes and inflatables galore.

  1. Jump on horseback

The Ibiza horse valley is a sanctuary for abused horses, situated in a canyon in the rocky natural park of Es Murta in the island’s north. Some are ready to be reintroduced to riding as part of the horses’ rehabilitation. Half-day rides from St Joan de Labritja take you into the mountains, while full days include the beach.

  1. Kayaking

Kayaking is an incredible way to see Ibiza. We recommend – Kayak Cala Xarraca, a three-hour kayaking tour that involves a gently guided paddle to pottering along the rocky coast and venturing into sea caves. This is one of the most satisfying water sports to admire the coastline.

  1. Take a jet ski to Es Vedra

Join a jet ski tour to get a closer look at the craggy limestone island of Es Vedra. You’ll set out from San Antonio, passing some of the most picturesque beaches and islands on the west coast before crossing to Es Vedra.
